Product Description
Featuring four different diamond grits compatible with our guided sharpening system, The Magna-Guide kit offers portable sharpening using 2 Double Sided Diafold sharpeners. The Aligner™ Blade Guide (ABG) provides 7-Angle adjustability for the right edge every time, and the Magnetic Angle Guide (MAG) brings both elements together for an ultra-precise sharpening experience. Each of the two Double Sided Diafold® Sharpeners have two 4" x 1" Diamond Whetstone™ surfaces in one lightweight, portable sharpening platform, which when paired with the ABG and MAG are ideal for sharpening blades and knives.
You can use the Diafold® Sharpeners alone on a variety of edges in the home, shop, and garden as well. First among the included grits is an extra-extra fine diamond (3 micron / 8000 mesh) that provides the finest polished edge of all bonded diamond abrasives, followed by an extra-fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) for polishing and refining a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond. Third and fourth are the fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for honing a razor sharp edge and the coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) for quickly restoring a neglected edge. Each Diafold® Sharpener is conveniently sized at 9 1/2" open and 5" closed as well, with the folding plastic handles able to protect the sharpener when not in use.
The versatility doesn't end there though, for both novices and professionals will appreciate the ABG to create precise, professional, consistent sharpening results regardless of the task. The ABG can also accommodate different spine widths as well as standard blade thicknesses. Complete with intuitive instructions and micronized monocrystalline surfaces, any tool can be sharpened in a fraction of the time required by conventional stones with the Magna-Guide System. No messy oils needed either, allowing you to sharpen dry or with water. With every component boasting a durable construction that will provide years of consistent performance and reliable service as well, professionals rely on the superior quality and versatility of DMT® products like the Magna-Guide system for proper tool maintenance.
